You can obtain free Maryland income tax assistance in person or over the phone by contacting any of the 12 locations listed below. Assistance is available 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. See our free tax preparation services.

Extended hours of phone assistance are available at 410-260-7980 and 1-800-MD-TAXES from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, January 22 through April 18, 2008.

You can also e-mail your tax questions to us at taxhelp@comp.state.md.us Please include your name, address and the last four digits of your Social Security number in your e-mail message. This will help us generate a quick response to your inquiry.
