If Your Client Did Not Live in Maryland

If your client did not live in Maryland for any portion of the year, please tell us why a Maryland address was used on the federal return.

If your client filed in another state, please supply us with a copy of that state's return.

If your client moved into Maryland during the year following the one referenced on the notice, please give us the date he or she moved into Maryland.

If you have questions or the situation doesn't fit into any of the examples listed above, call the phone number printed on the notice without delay. Don't assume the problem will go away, even if you believe the notice is incorrect.
